Jolee Mickesh--Artist Statement
My art is an imaginative translation of nature and my creative process mirrors my complex relationship with the world around me. Each piece documents an interpretation of sensations or feelings I experienced during encounters with nature in some form. A rushing river or a whispering breeze will vividly appear in artful forms in my imagination and inevitably become a theme for my work.
My art is simply my selection of anecdotes borrowed from nature's timeless narrative.
